In this article I will explain to you how to make a good living with affiliate marketing, from the comfort of your home.

I will explain what affiliate marketing is and give you a formula to help make you successful.

I will also share with you some success stories of other successful affiliate marketers.

I also want to tell you it’s not easy. In fact in the beginning it can be difficult. But, you must have the mind set that you will be successful and be determined.

First of all, I recommend you join Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to get started, no credit card needed. Read the review, look around at their program and see if it’s a good fit for you. Test it out.  If it appeals to you, join the premium program, which includes everything.

What is affiliate marketing?

It’s the process of promoting other’s products, like in Clickbank, Amazon or Walmart. And you receive a commission when someone buys what you are promoting. There are many different affiliate programs available. As an affiliate you can promote many different products, without the hassle of purchasing, storing and shipping the product.

Do you think you want to become an affiliate marketer?  Well, here are some affiliate marketing basics.

Are you tired of the 9-5 ratrace, with a boss hanging over your shoulder?

Are you tired of spending hours in traffic commuting to and from work, only to get home and be too tired to enjoy your family.

Then, affiliate marketing could be for you.
But first you have to separate the good guys from the bad guys.

“Gurus”

They are the ones that want to sell you a get rich-quick program and it’s only $7.00. But before you’re done with add-ons and up-sells it could cost $475 and you are still not making any money.

After purchasing a few of those you could go broke pretty fast and even then the program does not work the way they say it will and you are still not making any money. Just invest a little more please…the beat goes on.

Affiliate marketing is not quite as easy as people have been lead to believe.

I’m pretty sure there are no “push the button and the money will flow in and fill you bank account to overflowing” programs out there.

I have been working on Affiliate marketing for quite a while and have just started to earn some money. And that’s with a lot of time to devote to it.

And boy, I still have a lot to learn.

It takes a lot of writing, writing reviews and articles, so you can help people. That’s why you have a blog or website, to help people with their problems, and help them solve their problems.

The Best Formula

Rule 1. Pick a topic or niche that has interest for you and will help solve a problem for others.

Rule 2. Start building a blog with as many helpful articles as you can write.

Rule3. Find affiliate programs that offer products that help solve that topic’s problem.

Rule 4. After getting your website or blog established, branch out into you tube videos.

But I think it’s like anything you want in life, you have to work for it and the best thing about the web is there is plenty of help out there and you don’t have to go broke trying to get a business set up and running.

What you need

All you need is a computer,internet connection and determination.

A lot less expensive than setting up a brick and mortar store, with permits, licensing, inventory, supplies and everything else needed to starting a business. I know I had my own business for a long time.

Check around on the internet and you CAN find plenty of reputable help and training out there.

One place in particular is Wealthy Affiliate. It’s free to start with all the help you need to get an established business up and running. No credit card needed.

I wish I had found Wealthy Affiliate a long time ago. They must be doing something right, there are over 2 MILLION members, and most of them can help you and are ready and willing to.

After a couple of days in the starter program I upgraded to Premium, knowing this was where I wanted to be!

It has been rated the top training program available out there.

I spent a lot of time checking out different courses and programs, actually too much time.

Fortunately I was very careful about spending as little money as possible.

Find a niche.

First you need to find a niche. Something you know a lot about and are passionate about.

It could be a hobby like dog training, cooking, gardening, sports, relationships or any number of things.

That would be a broad niche.

Next break it down  to a smaller niche like training your dog not to jump, healthy cooking, finding the right man for you, growing roses or  being a little league coach. You get the idea.

Then do keyword research.

Using Google Adwords- keyword planner(free) or Jaaxy, start your search for words pertaining to your site or niche.
Your search volume should be 100 or above and your competition should be under 100.
Then on to building your website which I will cover in another article. Very Easy.

It gives you all the training you could possible need. Don’t feel you have to be an expert with a computer, I wasn’t  and still not, but there is plenty of help with your membership for free.

It is the easiest path to getting a website up and running and earning money.

The Good:

First off, no need to invest a ton of money. You don’t need a lot of technical skills to get started. You can make from $200 to $ 2,500 a month, or so they say, depending on how much time you have to devote to this program.

It starts out as a pretty simple system and supposedly  you can be up and running in no time. Are they legit or just a big waste of time? Check it out here.

If you have a computer and an internet connection you are in business. You just need to follow the step-by-step instructions. It’s as easy as that. Here is a video to help explain how it works.

Not true. You have to sign up for a sponsorship which is a nightmare. You have to give your SS# which I would not do, so I checked some other sponsorships and they also wanted SS#. Project Payday offers you different ways to make money and also get free stuff by using their referral system. You need to keep getting referrals and get them to fill out the forms.

There are many flaws with this “get rich quick” system and some serious risk for you and your personal information.

Offer 1.) Fill out cost per action offers. CPA offers

Offer 2.) Referral program, get people to sign up and they get people to sign up.

A lead has to fill out an online form which goes back to the company that sponsors the CPA action.

Sometimes the company wants credit card details and other personal info which can turn some people off.

A CPA offer is when a company pays you to get people to sign up for leads to their product that they are promoting. Not necessarily to buy anything. Netflix did this when they were a new company and wanting to get exposure. and it worked very well for all involved. I don’t think Project Payday  is the same type of company.

The Bad:

You do have to sign up for one of the sponsor’s offers, which might include a nominal fee which varies.   Also there is a lot involved in getting all of the information to get set up with a sponsor.

Also, it will require some time and determination on your part. Like the saying goes,” you only get out of it what you put into it”. With that being said, check this system out and give it a try. You will not make very much money, but it might be worth looking into.

Who is My Project Payday for?

This product is for the complete newbie who does not have a website and does not have any interest in creating one. I’ve been told that you really need your own website to be competitive in this very competitive market.

Final opinion: This might work for you if you are willing to put in quite a bit of time. But it can be worked on as much or as little as you have time for.

Plus, there are flaws in this program. Handing over your credit card details and other personal information is not something everyone is willing to do.

Project Payday is not a get rich quick scam, but you have to be willing to share serious personal information with others, and in this day and age who knows who will get their hands on it and do great damage to your financial system.

Basically:

• You can make money
• Money will come with plenty of sweat equity
• The money is with risk
• The site has access to your personal information, which I’m not comfortable with.

I tried to get started with this program, but I did not want to give them my social security number so I could not become a member. I do not have any first hand information of anyone who has made money with this system.

Fortunately, I found Wealthy Affiliate, which has put me on the road to success, “The Right Way”. If you want a safe and honest training, this is it!

Do you have the same habits as  successful people? How can you tell? Are you successful now? How do you know?

That’s a lot of questions to answer. If you are successful, you will know it and you will continue to strive to being more successful. If you’re  not, how do you cultivate those all important traits or habits and what are they?

Here are some traits to consider if you want to achieve success.

• Do the important chores first thing in the day. It’s important to work when your mind is fresh. You will be able to accomplish more and do it better. Leave the unimportant things to others, if possible.
• Keep an eye on your goals. Post them somewhere so you will see them frequently through the day. That will be a constant reminder what’s important.
• Set priorities every day. Make a list of what you want to accomplish every day and try to complete it, even if it takes extra time. Check goals done so you can measure your productivity and accomplishments. This will give you a sense of satisfaction.
• Take risks, financial, emotional, professional and mental. If it doesn’t work out, learn from it. What could I have done differently or better? Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
• Have a plan. Don’t be helter skelter about getting successful. Make your plan and plan your work. Staying organized will help you meet your success goals. Try not to deviate from your plan.
• Be curious. Don’t be afraid to explore different avenues, something better might be right around the corner. Don’t settle.
• Successful people rarely complain about mistakes, they take their share of the responsibility for the outcome.They don’t blame others. That does not solve anything and is a waste of time. Put you energy to better use.
• Successful people don’t wait for success to find them, they seek it out, by working harder and smarter.
• People who are successful are always busy. You won’t see them laying on the couch watching sports or the latest t.v. show. Remember the football players don’t pay your bills.
• They hang out and cultivate friendships with successful people that have the same mind-set.
• They don’t procrastinate or find excuses to not do things. They don’t wait for success to find them, they go out and create the best life possible.
• If you are unhappy in your job, don’t settle. Find what you want to do. Be your own boss, it’s not that hard to be self-employed.

Hopefully some of these habits you can incorporate into your own life and they will help you achieve the success you have been looking for.

The Good & the Bad

The Good:

Large amounts of content, 89 videos which are easy to follow and everything is explained so even a beginner can understand the process. It’s a no-pressure program at a very reasonable price.

Gets you set up without a website. It’s geared to getting you up and earning money without any additional costs.

But, you must be aware, earning money without a website is very difficult, but this program can be a stepping stone to more advanced programs.

They do teach you how to build an email list using all free tools, which is helpful.

The Bad:

Everything is taught using free resources which makes it hard to generate traffic for. No training on how to build a website or how to write content.

Also, no information on paid traffic.

Their selling point is getting you up and running for free. Which is great. But, is it possible. And it’s not free, you had to pay for the course and there is an upsell, which I would stay away from.

You have a sub-domain of a site like Wix or Weebly. The content on these sub domains  do not rank very well on Google or the other search engines. My opinion is that you will find it very hard to rank in this manner. It is good that all this is included in the one cost, but, the chance for success is slim without the proper website, etc.

Who is No cost income stream for?

This product is definitely for the newbie or beginner to get a taste of affiliate marketing or someone with absolutely no extra money to spend.

“The Real Guys” as they are called do some things right. They have a ton of content and their lessons are very easy to follow. They show you how to get started in this industry without spending any extra money. If you definitely don’t have any extra cash, this program could help you get your feet wet, but not a program that will take you by the hand to making money. For your $37.00 all you got were the videos, no support desk or ability to speak to someone when you have a question.

For me the problem was the amount of training. It got very tedious watching so many videos.

Tools & Training: 

There aren’t any tools, just a very simplified video course to follow. It can get very tedious with all the videos to study and implement.

I purchased this product a few years ago when I was just getting started in affiliate marketing and I never completed all the videos. If you get stuck you have to figure it out for yourself. If you can!

It definetly gives you a taste of what affiliate marketing really is all about.

VERDICT: Not a scam, buts needs to be updated and don’t expect to make a really good income with this product.

No cost income stream will give you enough information to possibly earn a little money to invest in a better and more updated program.

If you are already doing affiliate marketing, it will help improve your business with a lot of extras. Check it out here.
Bad:
This course has very advanced information and if you are a complete newbie, it might be a lot to grasp. Also, some of the terms might be difficult to understand if you are not familiar with the affiliate marketing language.

I’m not saying that a newbie could not benefit from this course, it would be just a little harder. Plus, this system is out-dated now and might not be as beneficial as when it was  first introduced.

The author is a top internet marketer in Asia. Peng Joon is well known in the gaming niche and has much success in that niche. Chow has had great success in the blogging industry. Work from no home is designed like a reality show and you are shown how you can make money from scratch with just a laptop and an internet connection, starting from zero and going to $12,000 in 1 month using Clickbank.
What’s included:
There are 8 modules inside the members area to help you get started.
Pick your own niche. This module will each you how to find a niche that will help you be successful and how to use the popular keyword tools available., dealing in digital products. He has over 570 websites in many different niches, from fitness, dog training and internet marketing.
Learning the basics. Shows you how to set up a website and helps you learn Google+. Which has been discontinued.
Content. This module will teach you content creation and how important that is.

It has a great community of over a million like-minded individuals where you can get help any time of the day or night. Plus, it’s always kept current and updated. Plus, it’s free to join.

No question is silly or unimportant. Usually your question is answered within minutes. It’s free to join and similar to a classroom. It’s friendly to newbies and seasoned marketers alike. Make sure to check it out!
